Lead Technician / Site Manager Water Turbines (m/f)
What can you expect…
In a dynamic, highly technical environment, you’ll tackle varied and challenging work alongside a small team at our office on Lake Geneva (Switzerland) or while working abroad (primarily in France and Africa)…
- Professional supervision and documentation of new installations, general overhauls, and repairs, as well as commissioning support for water turbines
- Active participation in new installations, overhaul work, and commissioning work
- Effectively representing the company to its customers and subcontractors to foster customer loyalty
- You coordinate and supervise assignments and provide technical and operational leadership to the assigned installation staff
- Leading the on-site construction team in close collaboration with the back office
- As the central point of contact, you act as a liaison between clients, customers, and authorities in the respective countries and ensure a smooth flow of information within the team and to the customer
- You are the primary point of contact for questions regarding the hydroelectric power plants assigned to you. In addition, you assist customers and authorities during the acceptance of the completed work
- You share responsibility for order, cleanliness, and safety on construction sites and ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements
Who you are…
You are an enthusiastic and solution-oriented person. You don’t view challenges as problems, but rather as an incentive to seek solutions. You contribute your ideas and act proactively, because as a reliable team player, collaboration is second nature to you in your day-to-day work.
- You have successfully completed basic training in a technical trade (polymechanic EFZ or similar), have several years of practical experience as a lead technician, and hold a valid driver’s license and travel documents.
- As a lead technician, you have the experience to professionally manage people and projects. Furthermore, you enjoy spending a significant amount of time on field installations, primarily in France and Africa, and appreciate flexible working hours.
- You are a service-oriented individual with strong communication skills and can confidently act as a liaison between various stakeholders.
- You work in a structured, independent, and reliable manner.
- Good IT skills and very good French language skills are required. English language skills are welcome.
